10 Hobbies Men Voted Are Green Flags When Dating Women

Are there certain hobbies you find irresistible in a partner? I love that my husband loves comic books. Watching him delight in the artwork and get excited about the details in the stories is adorable. An online platform recently surveyed men, asking which hobbies they found to be massive green flags when dating women. These topped the list.

1. Botany

From spider plants and fiddle leaf figs to succulents and floral arrangements, men adore plant ladies. Women who have a green thumb and keep their plants alive are something they deeply admire.

2. Reading

Reading is a green-flag hobby that indicates that you appreciate learning and growing. Reading also demonstrates intelligence and is something men admit they find extremely attractive.

3. Singing

Who doesn’t appreciate a beautiful singing voice? The idea of listening to a woman enjoying herself through song is something many men confess they desire in a woman. Singing is a great flag hobby.

4. Playing Games

Of course, not mental games, but board, card, and video game playing is a green flag for many of the men who voted in the survey. A huge benefit to this hobby is that it is something you can share together.

5. Working Out

Working out, weightlifting, and classes like yoga and dancing are green-flag hobbies. Typically, these indicate a woman’s willingness to do hard things, dedication, and discipline to keep doing them to achieve results.

6. Gardening

Gardening reflects a nurturing personality and an appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. My stepmom loves botany and gardening, and I remember my father being wholly enamored by her love of those hobbies. So it tickles me to see so many men delighted by that passion.

7. Sewing

Sewing is a creative hobby that results in beautiful patterns and stitching. It can also be beneficial for making clothing, blankets, and other linens. Homemade items will last years longer than anything you find in the store.

8. Knitting and Crocheting

Knitting and crocheting are two different creative hobbies these men voted as significant green flags. I’m nostalgic for the days when every couch had a crocheted throw on the back of it.

9. Fixing Things

Men love women who can take things apart, fix them, and put them back together. Women who use the free knowledge on YouTube are attractive. Repurposing furniture and anything crafty is something men value as a green flag hobby, too.

10. Fishing

Fishing is a hobby men wish more women enjoyed and is a welcomed green flag. Sitting on a riverbank or in a boat, having someone sit in the quiet of nature while catching fish, is beautiful.
